October

I promise now that our life has slowed down a little bit I will be better at blogging. Last month went by so fast! It seems like this year has just flown by. We started out the month with a baby that could only roll over once and now she is a pro at rolling. The first part of the month wasn't too eventful...just the same old routine with Alexis.  Greg is in school and working full time so we don't get to go on many adventures.  I keep reminding myself that one day school will be over and I will miss it. We did however get a surprise visit from Aunt Ashley! We sure do miss her and wish she lived closer.

Every October we go up to the cabin for the annual deer hunt.  This year we arrived to SNOW! I'm not sure if I'm ready for winter just yet, but the snow sure did make everything look so much prettier.  We had a fun time visiting and relaxing with Kristin's family.  It was nice to get away even if our hunters didn't get any deer :)

This year for Halloween Alexis and Greg dressed up as Darth Vader and Leia.  I think they looked great.  Greg had bought their costumes in August, Alexis' costume was a little big so I had to alter it a little but I think it looked pretty good. Alexis only made it about two blocks before she was done with her stroller and ready to go home.  Kristin threw a really fun Halloween party.  We always enjoy spending time with our cousins!

Hopefully it won't take me four months to blog again!

Almost there...

We officially have one more month until we get to see our baby girl, that is if she comes right on time.  I think we are pretty much as ready as we are going to get.  We have all the essentials, diapers, crib, changing table and a bunch of other things as well.  Let's just say this will be one of the best dressed little girls out there.  I just can't help myself, buying baby girl clothing is addicting.  As I'm getting near the end, I'm getting a little nervous, but mostly excited.  I keep picturing the way she will look and I can't wait.
It has been a little bitter sweet however, I will be leaving my job.  I have to say I work with some of the most amazing people who have become really good friends of mine. I know we will keep in touch though, and I get the opportunity to stay home and see my little girl every minute of the day.
Hopefully, one month from now there will be pictures on here of one adorable little baby!

Our family is GROWING!!

We are excited to announce that our family will be getting larger! I found out in November I was pregnant. And just today we found out that we are having a baby girl. We are so excited we can't stand it. We are so grateful that Heavenly Father has trusted us with this responsibility. I can't wait to hold and snuggle with our little one. My due date is July 6th. I have to admit I am a little nervous, but mostly excited. Greg is so cute he has been doing his homework, checking all review websites for anything from our car seat to the crib making sure that they are the best and safest possible! We will keep posting as our adventure continues.

Changes...

This month has been one full of changes, but I'm very pleased to say they have been good ones! First, I graduated from Provo College with my Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. At first I was very hesitant to go into the program, but I am so glad that I did it. I love the field and think it is the perfect fit for me. Second, I got a job in Medical Assisting! I am currently working in the Central Utah Dermatology Clinic. I LOVE my job. I have enjoyed every minute of it and it's only been a month. I am amazed at how much I'm learning. We see a lot of people with skin cancer, so wear sunscreen people! I also get to work with teens who are suffering from acne and get to see their face when their confidence is restored. I think best thing by far is the people I get to work with, they are incredible. I look forward to going to work everyday. So yes a lot of changes but they have been amazing.

Greg surprised me on Valentine's Day by sending flowers to the clinic.

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving is always a great time of year. This year we went down to Cedar City to visit Greg's Grandma Cecile. I love going down there to visit, even though it's only a few hours away it just far enough away to feel like a vacation. This year we brought my sister Ashley with us to enjoy the fun. As always there was great food and a lot of laughs. I love that I married into a great family that I feel at home with when I can't go to Kansas. While down in Cedar City Greg's cousin Jenny taught us how to make these really cute hair bows that are so easy to make.
This Thanksgiving I also experienced Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Even though they only thing I got was towels it was hilarious. The highlight of the Wal-mart was the guy wearing a camouflage jacket, missing half his teeth that for some reason needed almost thirty Crockpots. I don't know how much I would trust a $3.00 Crockpot but hey it was a steal. So I ended up with towels, Ashley got a George Foreman Grill, and Jim got some heating blankets, and a lot of games. I would say we did really well!
As per tradition I had the opportunity to help put up Grandma Cecile's Christmas trees. I think I could put up hundreds of Christmas trees, I love them. Well I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving as well. We sure do have a lot to be thankful for!

I interviewed today at the IHC Provo Intsacare and was approved for my externship. I am so excited to be able to work with their team of great employees. Best of all I will be able to use all of my skills and gain a lot of experience.
